Unlock Hints:

Unlock Diamond Cup: Finish first in Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire Cups on Standard or Expert difficulty.

Unlock Master Class: Finish first in Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire Cups on Expert difficulty.

Unlock Dark Schneider (machine): Finish every chapter in Story Mode (9 total).

Unlock Special Machine BAHAMUT: Use your License card when you play F-Zero AX (arcade) and save it in your memory card.

Unlock AX Tracks in GX: Place first in an AX course and then save to your GB memory card. When you use that save in your GX game the course you beat in the AX game will be available for purchase at the Item Shop.

Unlock AX Cup: Unlock all AX courses using above method to play the AX Cup in Grand Prix mode.

Unlock AX Mute City - Sonic Oval: Finish first in the AX Cup in Grand Prix mode on any difficulty to unlock this final AX course.

Unlock AX Machine Parts: Finish all Story Mode Chapters on Hard difficulty.

Unlock AX Pilots: Finish all Story Mode Chapters on Very Hard. Alternatively just finish any race with them.

Note: All F-Zero X Characters can be unlocked by purchasing them.
